Fun as a beginner

As someone just dabbling in hand sewing, along with the handbook on hand stitching, I’ve enjoyed working through this slowly. When I had questions with potentially obvious answers, the owner was quick to respond via email to clarify some specifics that were puzzling to me. Overall, very satisfied, though not quite finished sewing. Highly recommend to adventurous beginners.

A sewing dream

I loved testing the Photinia for F&C! It is such a straightforward pattern with lovely gather details. I appreciate that this is an inclusive size pattern as well. I love how flowy and billowy the dress can be when worn and also versatile throughout the seasons. Alexis creates some very superb patterns! Highly recommend!

Mum stole it

I absolutely loved making this dress and really enjoyed the end result only to have my mother steal it from my wardrobe. So in case you're wondering how great it is that should tell you! Can't wait to make many more using the hacks. :)

Such a good pattern

My Photinia dress is one of the most worn garments I've made - it's a quick sew with great instructions, and the design is so versatile. I can wear it on a casual day at work, or add accessories and wear it to dinner or date night. Love that there are so many options with it, too!
